Other ways to support Rape Crisis Cape Town
Rape Crisis Cape Town supports 10,000 rape survivors a year. We have three permanent offices, a 24-hour telephone counselling service, another 24-hour counselling service at the GF Jooste Hospital trauma centre, and support services at magistrate’s courts in Wynberg, Khayelitsha, Parow and Cape Town. We have 13 fulltime staff members and a corps of dedicated volunteers, many of whom would be unable to perform this service if we did not provide a stipend to cover their transport costs.
It costs R300,000 (or about $30,000) a month to provide these services. Our funders include South African government agencies, international NGOs — and you! Here’s how you can help:
