The 8th of December 2007 was our last day on Stop the Bus but before we could go back to Cape Town, we were going to an outdoor event at Kliprug Gemeenskap Saal in Prince Alfred´s Hamlet.

We started the day with a nice breakfast and in the diningroom we met a woman who works for Rape Crisis in the Free State.  We had a little chat with her and Ma Joyce told her about Stop the Bus.  We gave her some pamphlets, she was very happy to get the material because she doesn´t have these pamphlets at the Rape Crisis she works at.

The 5th of December we had the day off to spend time in nature as a group of city dwellers.   We started with breakfast and then we packed the bus and drove to the Karoo National park bright and early in the morning. (more…)

On the 4 December 2007 we had to attend a networking meeting and facilitate a workshop in the community at the same time, so the group split intotwo parties.

On Monday the 3rd of December 2007 we all got up very early because we had to get to our first workshop in Murraysberg, which is about a one and a half hour drive away from Beaufort West. But even before we left Beaufort West, we were stopped by the police! A female officer reminded us that we all have to wear seat belts, so we all buckled up and gave her a pamphlet.

On the 2nd of December 2007 the second team took off from Cape Town.  Everybody was very excited,  and the team had brought a lot of family and friends to wish them a safe and good trip and to see them off.
