The 8th of December 2007 was our last day on Stop the Bus but before we could go back to Cape Town, we were going to an outdoor event at Kliprug Gemeenskap Saal in Prince Alfred´s Hamlet.

It was an event that was planned by our partner NGO, the Women on Farms Project and they had invited farmers and workers on farms to come and get information about the 16 Days of Activism.

Glynis Rhodes who is a Programme Coordinator for the Women on Farms Project had arranged that Rape Crisis would come and participate in this event.

There were a lot of people and we had a table with our information where people could come and hear about Rape Crisis and we also handed a lot of pamphlets out.

The programme started at 11 o´clock with a speech from the mayor, Kevin Klaase.

And afterwards different people from the Women on Farms Project went on the stage to speak about different subjects.

Joyce and Johanna went on the stage and told about Stop the Bus and what Rape Crisis does and they did the presentation in both Afrikaans and Xlosa.

After a succesful day we returned to Cape Town and even though all of us had a great trip, we were all looking forward to seeing friends and family again.
