Stop the Bus Campaign 2009

December 4, 2009

Wow! Today was hectic but exciting because the crew had facilitated two long but informative workshops. Women were empowered and informed about acting against abusers as well as rape. We started off at De Doorns and ended the day in Rawsonville.

Pamphlet drops and organising information for the participants of the workshop. This was very important, as participants were eager to learn and get involved.

Kathy had facilitated the first workshop of the day, on the Criminal Justice System as well as rape in general. Farm workers were informed about their rights and they were empowered and motivated to start their own forum/organisation.

The second workshop took place at Rawsonville at the library, where community members as well as farm workers participated.
